Appropriateness
- Identify whether something is in the ‘top half’ (appropriate) or ‘bottom half’ (inappropriate)
- To decide whether something is ‘very appropriate’ or ‘appropriate but not ideal’, figure out the extent to which it addresses the key issue. If it is a good thing but doesn’t outright help, it is likely to be appropriate but not ideal.
- To decide whether something is ‘very inappropriate’ or ‘inappropriate but not awful’, figure out how detrimental it is. If it is an unnecessary consideration but not necessarily harmful, it is likely to be of inappropriate but not awful.
- If in doubt, pick B or C and not an extreme option
